
Many adults may not see this as a problem or a topic worthy of exploration. However, almost none of them seem to connect their soul to themselves as relevant in their present lives. And surprisingly, virtually all of the students she interviewed all over the world, over a 10 year span, who were from all faith backgrounds, and none, and even anti-faith perspectives, have language (usually poignant and personal) about their soul or "the soul". And this is what drives Lyons' commentary on these kids' description of their own souls.

Also, I have an adolescent son whose heart and "soul" seems to becoming more and more separate from his self. I read it for work purposes but it grabbed me immediately and I tore through it.
